Club Support Grants

At our District Executive Meeting of Wednesday 3rd March, it was proposed to support our Clubs financially during these difficult times. Therefore, the District Executive have set out a plan to fund all clubs with the sum of £350.00. There will be no restriction on how the funding grant may be used however clubs should think about their sustainability, development and recovery. This grant for all clubs would only become available for application once the following conditions have been met: 1. Affiliated club with SASA by Monday 31st May 2021 2. A commitment from clubs to pass on reduced SASA membership fees to their members 3. Fully Completed paperwork set out by District Executive 4. Grant claimed by Wednesday 30th June 2021 at the latest Once these have been met, the District Executive would authorise the funds to clubs in a timely fashion by Bank Transfer. Each club who is awarded a grant will be required to provide a short report at the September Delegates meeting detailing how they have invested the funds in the club & its members. This is undoubtedly a ‘one-off’ gesture from the District and is hopefully be welcomed by all members and clubs during this time within our District and I remain hopeful to return to some sort of aquatic activity in the coming months. The District Executive, in no way, are looking to operate in a manner to try and recoup this funding in the future. We will always look to support Clubs in an equitable fashion at all times and make all financial decisions in the fairest way possible. “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much!” Jordan Young
